About me.....I have worked in some capacity in Milford schools since 1995. I began as a substitute teacher, moved on to work with students having behavioral/emotional challenges and then I spent a year as a permanent substitute (a position which no longer exists). Finally, in 1999 I got the job of my dreams.....I became a classroom teacher. I am so grateful for my previous teaching experiences because they better prepared me to successfully lead a classroom of my own. I taught second grade until 2010 when I was asked to teach third grade. I can truthfully say that I love my job and feel very fortunate to be able to get up each morning and head off to greet your children. Every day is different, both positive and negative, and we work together to create a safe, positive learning environment. It is extremely important to me that each child feels capable and willing to take risks for it is only through trial and error that growth is made. I encourage your children daily to take responsibility for their learning for it is a life skill. If I teach your children to think for themselves, trust in their abilities and to want to know more, then I have been successful.
